please don't hate me..

june has gotten the best of me because of school, but i promise i didn't just get lazy. i've barely had time to breathe, much less post a blog. but i have taken pictures most days, so if you'll bare with me, i'll get my to my regularly scheduled postings soon. :)

Day 61: nap time interrupted.

i've said it before, i'll say it again. sundays are for church and napping. well, today, my nap was interrupted. but i must say, it was a welcomed interruption. bailey had planned on coming to church with me sunday night, then we were going to watch toy story 2 in preparation for the third coming out soon. he surprised me and came out to the house earlier in the afternoon. i'm pretty sure he's getting tired of me asking him to take pictures with me, but oh well. :)

Day 60: photowalk fun!

Today, Katie and I attended the iheartfaces photowalk in Atlanta at Oakland Cemetary. It was so much fun learning from everyone. Some were beginners like me, and some were professionals who's cameras I could only DREAM of using. I learned so much, and enjoyed meeting several new people! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Day 59: thankful, thankful, thankful.

Sitting at home today, I got a scary phone call. Mama called me from her office saying she had been in a wreck. She said she was ok, but that's never a phone call you want to hear. I was so thankful it was her calling me, and not a police officer. Minus a few burns, bruises, and a little soreness, she was ok. But her poor car wasn't. That's ok though - cars can be replaced. My mama can't. Although I'm pretty sure my mama's more upset about losing her beloved expedition than anything else. :)

Day 58: rain, rain, go away

today was a MONSOON. i'm talking crazy sideways rain, tons of lightning, which of course means tons of thunder. ridiculous.

standing in my doorway in the breezeway outside our apartment. thats a good 10 feet that the rain is blowing in sideways.

Day 57: wish list.

i know, these aren't pictures i've taken. but i have a wish list. and currently there is one thing on it. yes, its vain. yes, its expensive. and yes, i know this is only a WISH list. but i have wanted a kelly green leather purse for almost 2 years now, and can never find one i LOVE. that is until i walked into belks. and of course the one I loved was chained to the table. some may call it expensive taste. i call it love. :) its a super grainy picture (sorry for that, it was taken on my cell phone) but, you know, independence day is in july. my birthday is in august. labor day is in september. october? halloween. thanksgiving falls in november, and christmas AND graduation in december. so if any of you feel the need to give on any of the above holidays, well..you know.

Day 56: i love long weekends

i hate coming back to work after long weekends.

the best part about coming back? home cooked meals. that i don't have to cook. :)

the worst part? loads and loads and loads of laundry. :(

Day 55: "...may freedom forever fly"

many see memorial day as just a chance to hang out with family, cookout, swim, and do fun things. while i did enjoy hanging out with family and eating delish home cooking, memorial day is about so much more. it's about remembering those who died for our freedom, and thanking God for those who still are. without these men and women,we wouldn't be able to enjoy the things we associate with these holidays.

Day 54: memories

pepa just recently purchased a curio (spelling?) cabinet for his office that has so many family mementos in it. i couldn't tell you what everything is, but i'm pretty sure he knows everything down to whats in the little canisters on the top shelf. its really pretty neat.

Day 53: braves birthday

so yesterday was daddy's birthday, and today was bailey's birthday! so many fun activities in 2 days! woo hoo! we spent the afternoon/night at the ted with some of our best friends celebrating bailey's 23rd. yeah, he's an old man ;)

Day 52: celebrating my daddy

today was daddy's birthday! happy 39th daddy! ;) since we can't ever get cale home, we made the trip to athens to eat with him. we've always a the birthday tradition of eating wherever the birthday boy/girl wants to eat for their birthday, so daddy chose carrabba's. i had never been there before but it was delish!

Day 51: last night as rooms.

brooke moves out tomorrow. so we spent the night sitting in the den watching movies, talking, laughing, and taking tons of pictures. so much is fixing to change for us all in the next 6 months, but i think we're all pretty excited.

the picture game puts the self timer to good use. someone yells a pose just before the camera goes off and you see what you come out with..
