Day 18: still no memory card..

Today was the last day of mine and mama's gun class. we spent the morning in the FREEZING cold, POURING down rain. mama did awesome..i, on the other hand-lets just say i won't be taking our instructor's job anytime soon. but it was still a fun time. Since i still don't have a memory card, i don't have any pictures. except one....taken by a certain unnamed guest at our house :)

our guns had to be cleaned, and a kel-tec is apparently hard to take apart (that's the type i have). even the rangemaster, instructor, and the deputy couldn't figure it out. so daddy got on youtube. :) smart man.

Day 17: no memory card...

I somehow lost my memory card between my apartment and Bailey's grandparents house on Friday. I'm not sure how you lose a memory card in a span of 3 hours. my apt-car-truck-house. WHERE IS IT?!? so I don't have any pictures from Friday. soooo....i've been working on a project for our sports marketing class. we had to market a baseball and a softball game. here's some of our pictures

Day 16: graduation fun

So we all know I'm not graduating in May...but some of my friends are. Lauren and Tina's mama's wanted "senior pictures" like we did in high school, and asked me if I would take them. Of COURSE I would! :) Here's a few of my faves...

Day 15: when the sun goes down in georgia..

Today I was supposed to meet Cale at the lake. Him and some buddies had spent the afternoon there, and he needed something for his computer that I had. Long story short, I ended up just waiting around for a bit, which was no big deal because I got to watch the sun set over lake sinclair. If you're able to block out the power plant, it is so pretty. :)

i'm pretty sure a palm tree doesn't belong at the lake. much less a lake in milledgeville...

GORGEOUS, absolutely GORGEOUS sunset.

Maybe I'll get in some good pictures this week after all. :)

this is all i've looked at tonight. sports marketing test tomorrow...

i haven't even totally unpacked my bags yet. sad, i know.

random stumblings..

This isn't a "daily blog" but I stumbled across this quote tonight:

"The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of a woman. For I have accepted God's idea of me, and my whole life is an offering back to Him of all that I am, and all that He wants me to be." -Elisabeth Elliot

Wow.

Day 13: "get caught in the race of this crazy life..."

So, things in around her can get kind of hectic sometimes.. When I need to vent/relax/laugh, I go to one of 3 places: Elizabeth's, Kim's, or just recently I've started to run. I realize when I run I can get my frustrations out, I have more energy, and it's just an all around better deal for me! Today I went to Kim's and to run, so I got the best of both worlds. I'll be living with Kim next semester, so while I was there I thought I'd snap a couple of quick pictures. They were through my car window, so they aren't exactly "professional"

Our apartment!! I'm so excited to be living with Kim and Brittany..although Brittany's could get a little confusing... :)

Day 12: Nashville

Ok, this is my last post without daily pictures! Promise!! Bailey and I visited Alabama/Nashville for spring break. Downtown Nashville is FABULOUS, so I tried to get as many pictures as possible. I love black and white pictures, and these were some of my favs.

Day 11: loaded guns, full bellies.

Mama and I started a firearms class on Saturday. This past weekend we had four hours of classroom time, which wasn't the most exciting thing. Next Saturday we start at the gun range!! Don't mess with us...i'm just saying. ;)

Saturday afternoon Bailey and I ran a few errands and shopped. Mama had given us a half off gift card to Ted's Montana Grill. You had to spend $50 to get $25 off. This wouldn't be a hard task for 3 or 4 people. But for 2, it was a struggle. Between the 2 of us we had sweet tea, onion rings, steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, a bison burger, fries, and a HUGE strawberry shortcake dessert.

This is how we felt after such a HUGE meal.

Day 10: Where's the floor?

It's like Where's Waldo? but the trick is to find my floor.

I'm doing a MAJOR overhaul in my room at home, and I definitely underestimated how much JUNK I had. I pulled everything, and I mean EVERYTHING out of my closet and under my bed. I still haven't touched my dresser, desk, or vanity. I promise you it's not always like this!

Found these in my closet from middle school. How did I EVER use a purse this small?

If I don't make any more posts, just know it's because my mama and daddy killed me for putting up these pictures of my messy, messy room.

Day 9: Favorites

Ok, this is one of my last days of blogging without pictures from the day. But these are some of my favorite pictures I've taken in my past 4 years in Milledgeville. Some are good, quality pictures, and some just take me back and make me laugh.

Freshman rooms at Murder Creek.

The Hill girls. Everything about this just makes me laugh. :)

Freshman rooms Christmas card pictures.

Sophomore year BEAR (Brittoni, Elizabeth, Amanda, Rachel) cave at the lake.

Our pig we had for 6 weeks, Bentley! Elizabeth bought him a moose halloween costume!
Justin and Ashley Brooke's wedding. June 09

I think this was taken 2 years ago at Pepa's birthday maybe? Yeah, we're that good.

Seeing our BFF T.Swift. September 09

Day 8: kiddos

I love taking pictures of kids. They're so candid and have this awesome joy and innocence. Here's a few I've taken lately..

Kate is one of the sweetest kids I've ever met. She was in my class at the daycare, and I still babysit her occasionally in Milledgeville.

There's no way I could write a post about cute kids and not include Bailey's nephew, Harrison.

Day 7: throwbacks

So my mama is a little ill with me for not updating in a week. I'm sorrrrrry! School has been crazy the past week. But I promise to be better at it. I didn't get to take many pictures last week, so today I'm making a tribute to freshman year. :)

This was mine and Elizabeth's dorm room freshman year. I think we ended up moving it around a few times, but this was definitely where we ended up as best friends.
I think I'd have to say the highlight of freshman year was Dierks Bentley in Milledgeville. We were so excited that whole day!! Elizabeth and I stalked his tour bus, waiting for him to appear. Surprise, surprise, he never did. I did meet him downtown at a coffee shop, though I can't seem to find that picture. I don't think the concert started til 11, and I'm pretty sure the doors didn't even open until 10. We were waiting outside the doors at 8, and got front row to the stage. Worth every minute in the freezing cold.

Day 6: Sweet Memories

Today was spent sorting through some of my great aunt's things in her house. Going through the house brought back so many memories of being there when we were younger. We played beauty salon in the den, spent hours playing tetris in Aunt Pat's room, and goofing off on the eliptical in the living room. My most vivid memories involve this gorgeous magnolia tree in her back yard. I walked back there today, and although it didn't seem quite as big as I remembered, it was still gorgeous. That tree served as a ladder, a fort to spy on the neighbors, a house to play with our babydolls, and so much more.

My favorite view at 103 Lynn Avenue.

Under the HUGE canopy. I tried to climb the tree, but I don't exactly fit on the branches like I used to ;)

Milledgeville to the right? How about we turn left?

We love you and miss you Aunt Pat.
